Job summary

A leading construction firm in Singapore is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to handle various responsibilities including performing measurements, preparing Bills of Quantities, and managing progress claims. The ideal candidate should possess a degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent, with 4-5 years of relevant experience in a Main-con or Builder Company. This role requires self-motivation and the ability to work well in a team, ensuring accurate project financials and documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Perform measurements and prepare Bills of Quantities.
  • Obtain quotations for Executive Director's approval.
  • Prepare monthly progress claims for Architect/Client.
  • Calculate variation order claims for final accounts settlement.
  • Prepare progress payment certificates for sub-contractors.

Job description

Job Title: Quantity Surveyors (ID4684)
Location: Kaki Bukit
Working Hours: Mon to Fri 8.30am to 5.30pm
Salary: $4500-$5000

Responsibilities
  • Perform measurements and prepare Bills of Quantities.
  • Obtain quotations and put-up recommendation for Executive Director's approval.
  • Prepare the sub-contract/purchasing documents for review & approval by the Executive Director.
  • Prepare and submit monthly progress claim to Architect/Client.
  • Compute variation order claim and prepare the final accounts for settlement with client/consultant.
  • Prepare final accounts of sub-contract work.
  • Prepare progress payment certificates for sub-contractors.
  • Aware and understood the impact/risk assessment and applicable legal & other requirements in his/her scope of work.
  • Perform measurements and compare quotation values for review.
  • Accurately interpret drawings and specifications, and calculate the quantities required by the project.
  • Work closely with the Project Manager, Construction Manager, Client/Client Representatives and Sub-Contractors to accurately arrive with progress claims and variation claims.
  • Incorporate all Project Manager-approved deductions pertaining to QEHS administrative charges from sub-contractor payment documents.
  • Verify payment documents before submission to Head Office.
  • Responsible for preparation of Works Order, Contractual Agreement and Payment Certificates.
Requirements
  • Degree in QS or equivalent.
  • Min 4-5 years QS experience in Main-con Company or Builder Company.
  • Able to do Tender & Project.
  • Self-motivated and team player.
