Job summary

A leading manufacturing company in Singapore is seeking a Production Manager to oversee all production matters. The ideal candidate will have a Diploma/Bachelor’s in Food Science and a minimum of 5 years experience, preferably in Chinese cuisine. Basic $6,000 – $8,500 + Bonus

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for all production matters.
  • Plan and forecast the production schedule based on orders and invoices, and assign daily production tasks to the Factory Manager.
  • Oversee and coordinate the production department’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Monitor production progress closely, adjust plans when needed, follow production schedules, and improve productivity.
  • Build a strong focus on quality and address quality issues during production.
  • Ensure equipment is used properly, and arrange required maintenance and repairs.
  • Oversee daily production and ensure the production area is kept clean and safe.
  • Implement product/process identification and check that procedures are followed.
  • Handle production reporting, statistics, and related administrative work.
  • Plan and manage cost‑saving efforts for production.
  • Organise skills training for team leaders so they can manage safe work procedures.
  • Protect confidential company information and ensure teams follow related rules and processes.
  • Evaluate, train, recognise, and review production employees.
  • Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor.
  • Report to the General Manager.
Qualifications
  • Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, food manufacturing, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience.
  • Experience in Chinese cuisine or hotpot is an advantage.
  • Strong sense of responsibility.
  • Able to understand business goals and priorities.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  • Able to work effectively with both external parties and internal teams.
  • Proficient in English; ability to communicate with Mandarin‑speaking stakeholders for work purposes is an advantage.
