A leading Industrial AI company in Singapore is seeking a Product Manager to transition from a project-based delivery to a product-led SaaS model. You will own the product strategy, collaborate with R&D in China, and ensure commercial enablement. The ideal candidate has 4-8 years of experience in B2B SaaS and strong bilingual skills in Mandarin and English. This role offers a chance to architect innovative solutions in a fast-paced environment.
Alpha X is a leading Industrial AI company rooted in the high-precision world of Semiconductor Manufacturing. We are now executing a critical strategic pivot: democratizing our "Semicon-grade" technology to build a scalable, universal "Smart Factory" SaaS Platform for the broader manufacturing sector (Electronics, Automotive, Precision Engineering, etc.).
This is a foundational role. As our first dedicated Product Manager, you will transition the company from a "Project-Based" delivery model to a "Product-Led" SaaS model. You will act as the CEO of the Product, standing at the intersection of our Business teams in Singapore/Malaysia and our R&D centers in China. Your mission is to filter noise, define standards, and build a scalable product moat.
1. Product Strategy & Standardization (The Builder)
From Project to Platform: Lead the transformation of bespoke AI solutions into modular, standardized SaaS products.
Build the "Middle-Office": Define requirements for the commercial infrastructure of the platform, including Tenant Management, Subscription/Billing Logic, and RBAC (Role-Based Access Control), ensuring the system supports mass commercial deployment.
Roadmap Ownership: specific "Semicon" capabilities have the highest value in general manufacturing. Prioritize these features based on ROI and market fit.
2. R&D Collaboration & "The Bridge"
Cross-Border Translation: Serve as the primary translator between the Singapore Business Units (Sales/BD) and the China R&D Centers. You must convert high-level business goals into precise Product Requirements Documents (PRDs) and technical specifications.
Gatekeeper: Act as the firewall between Sales and Engineering. Evaluate incoming requests from BD, distinguishing between "Market Trends" (to be built) and "One-off Customizations" (to be rejected or negotiated).
Lifecycle Management: Manage the full SDLC. Balance the backlog between new feature development and technical debt reduction to ensure a stable release cadence.
3. Commercial Enablement & Governance
Go-to-Market Support: Equip the Marketing and Pre-sales teams with standardized demos, whitepapers, and USP (Unique Selling Proposition) documentation to reduce the complexity of the sales process.
Data-Driven Iteration: Define and track key product metrics (e.g., User Adoption, System Uptime, Feature Usage) to drive evidence-based decision-making.
Experience: 4–8 years of Product Management experience, with a strong track record in B2B SaaS, Industrial Software, or Supply Chain Tech.
The "0 to 1" Factor: Must have proven experience in launching a new product from scratch or successfully transitioning a company from a service/project model to a product model.
Language Proficiency: Professional fluency in Mandarin and English is mandatory. You must be able to debate technical implementation details with Chinese engineers and present strategic vision to English-speaking management.
Technical Literacy: You do not need to write code, but you must understand API integrations, Cloud Infrastructure (SaaS architecture), and AI/Computer Vision basics to assess feasibility and trade-offs.
Soft Skills:
The Ability to Say "No": Comfortable pushing back on unrealistic sales requests to protect the long-term product architecture.
Structured Thinking: Ability to visualize complex business flows into clear diagrams and logical data structures.
Strategic Impact: You are not just maintaining a legacy system; you are architecting the machine. You will define the product culture and processes for the entire organization.
The Pivot Opportunity: Leading a high-tech company through a successful transition from "Niche Project" to "Mass Market Platform" is a career-defining achievement.
