Network Design and Implementation:
- Design, deploy, and manage network infrastructure to support AST’s operations, including the new factory setup.
- Implement and maintain Cisco Switches, Cisco Routers, FortiGate Firewalls, Palo Alto Firewalls, ClearPass NAC, F5 VPN, IPS, WLC, Access Points, and VSS/VLAN Architectures to ensure seamless connectivity and high performance.
- Develop and manage wireless, wired, and VPN networks, ensuring optimal coverage, security, and reliability.
- Plan and execute network segmentation and VLAN configurations to secure critical assets and optimize traffic flows.
Network Operation and Support:
- Provide comprehensive network management and support services with at least 5-6 years of experience, specifically in high-tech manufacturing environments utilizing Cisco networking solutions.
- Monitor and optimize network performance, ensuring minimal latency and maximum uptime for mission-critical factory systems.
- Conduct thorough troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolution of complex network-related issues to minimize downtime and operational disruptions.
- Oversee regular firmware updates, security patches, and configuration optimizations on networking equipment to maintain a secure and efficient infrastructure.
Cybersecurity and Compliance:
- Implement robust security measures for network systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and secure VPN solutions.
- Collaborate with IT security teams to ensure compliance with standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, IEC 62443, and other industry-specific regulations.
- Harden network systems against cyber threats by employing Zero Trust Architecture principles.
- Ensure that IT systems and practices adhere to pertinent industry standards, regulations, and data protection laws.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation, including the creation and upkeep of operational manuals, and conduct regular audits to verify and maintain compliance.
IoT and Smart Factory Integration:
- Design and manage networks to support IoT applications, including SCADA, PLCs, and other manufacturing control systems.
- Work with OT teams to ensure reliable and secure communication between IT and OT environments.
- Enable real-time monitoring and analytics through robust IoT connectivity solutions.
Collaboration and Training:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand and support network requirements.
- Provide guidance and training to junior engineers and other IT staff on network technologies and best practices.
Innovation and Optimization:
- Ensure data integrity, availability, and security by implementing robust data management practices, reliable backup systems, and effective disaster recovery solutions.
Technical Support:
- Offer technical support and troubleshoot IT-related issues for all employees and contractors, ensuring swift resolution to minimize downtime and disruptions.
- Act as the escalation point for resolving high-priority issues in IT and OT systems. Conduct root-cause analysis for recurring problems and implement preventive measures.
Project Management:
- Lead network-related projects, including the new factory setup, from inception to completion within defined timelines and budgets.
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors for the procurement, installation, and configuration of network equipment.
- Provide detailed project documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and operational manuals.
Perform any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Manager, as required to support the team and organizational goals.
Professional Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology or any related discipline.
- Industry-recognized network certifications such as CCNP, CCNA, or equivalent are strongly preferred.
