Job Description
The EHS Executive is a key operational role, responsible for the day-to-day execution and support of all environmental, health, and safety programs. This hands-on professional will work directly with the Facility teams and other employees. He will assist in maintaining regulatory compliance and perform day-to-day reporting to relevant stakeholders.
1. Operational Support & Implementation
- Support the EHS Manager in the implementation of the EHS annual action plans
- Act as the Assistant Secretary of the EHS Committee, assist in conducting EHS Committee Meetings and Inspections, including follow-up
- Track and update EHS performance indicators
- In charge of ISO 45001 and ISO14001 management systems, including audits and documentation
2. Compliance and Risk Management
- Assist the EHS manager in regular inspections and audits, and ensure closure of findings
- Monitor and manage the renewal of all regulatory certificates, permits, and licenses
- Carry out EHS regulatory reporting to the relevant authorities on time
3. EHS Operations
- Check and endorse Permit To Work
- Act as WSH Risk Management Leader and Fire Safety Manager
- Make all EHS reports to HQ and ensure on-time submission
- Attend EHS meeting, conference, including cross-country audits
- Take charge of purchase and invoicing for the EHS function
4. Incident management
- Assist the EHS manager in incident investigation and reports to the authorities and stakeholders
5. Training and Awareness
- Conduct EHS training and organise EHS promotion programs
Key Requirements
- Possesses at least 5 years of relevant working experience
- Good understanding of Singapore WSH Act, subsidiary regulations, Codes of Practice, and SCDF/NEA requirements
- Proficiency in risk assessment, hazard identification, root cause analysis, and implementing control measures
- Hands-on experience with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 systems
- Familiarity with chemical safety, SDS interpretation, hazardous materials handling, and waste management
- Ability to deliver EHS briefings, toolbox talks, induction, and basic training to employees, contractors, and visitors
Required Qualifications
- Diploma in Workplace Safety & Health, Environmental Science, Engineering, and/or other relevant fields
- WSQ Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health (Level B)
- Fire Safety Manager Certificate
- Other WSH certificates will be an added advantage
Skills & Competencies
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with staff at all levels
- Good analytical and problem-solving ability for hazard identification and issue resolution
- Good organisational skills to manage EHS activities and documentation
- Proactive, responsible, and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) for reporting and presentations
