Job summary

Job description
Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities
- Implements and monitors safety protocols specific to fuel station operations, including hazardous material handling and emergency response.
- Conducts thorough investigations of safety incidents, documents findings, and recommends preventive measures.
- Ensures all safety practices align with local, national, and industry regulations.
- Performs risk assessments and develops mitigation plans for fuel station hazards.
- Delivers safety training sessions to staff, ensuring understanding and compliance.
- Develops and tests emergency response plans for fuel station incidents (fires, spills, etc.).
- Performs scheduled and unscheduled safety audits and inspections at fuel stations to identify potential hazards, ensure compliance with safety standards, and verify that all safety equipment is functional and properly maintained. Document findings and follow up on corrective actions to mitigate risks.
- Oversees the reporting and investigation of all safety-related incidents, near-misses, and accidents at fuel stations. Collects evidence, interviews witnesses, analyse root causes, and prepares detailed reports. Recommends and implements corrective and preventive measures to avoid recurrence.
Qualifications
- Educational Qualifications bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional Certifications NEBOSH International General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety (or equivalent recognized safety certification is a plus)
- Experience 3–5 years of relevant experience in safety management, preferably in the oil & gas, fuel station, or industrial sectors.
- Essential Job Pre-Requisites Proficiency in using safety management systems and incident reporting tools.
- Languages Proficiency Proficiency in Arabic and English.
