Job Overview
The UI/UX Designer will be responsible for designing intuitive, user‑centric digital experiences across web and mobile platforms. The role requires strong creative and analytical abilities to translate concepts into engaging interfaces that align with business objectives and user needs. The ideal candidate should possess hands‑on experience in user research, wireframing, prototyping, and designing modern digital solutions with a strong focus on usability, accessibility, interaction, and visual design principles.
Key Responsibilities
- Create user‑centered design concepts, wireframes, prototypes, and high‑fidelity UI mockups for web and mobile applications.
- Conduct user research, competitor analysis, and usability testing to understand user behaviours and optimise design solutions.
- Collaborate with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into functional UI/UX solutions.
- Develop and maintain design systems, brand guidelines, UI kits, components, and style guides for consistent user experience.
- Ensure UI/UX designs adhere to accessibility standards, usability principles, and responsive design practices.
- Iterate design concepts based on usability feedback, analytics insights, and evolving business priorities.
- Create interactive prototypes using modern design tools to communicate design flow and interaction patterns.
- Work closely with development teams to ensure design feasibility and accurate hand‑off of assets.
- Stay updated with emerging UI/UX trends, design frameworks, and industry best practices.
- Present design proposals and solutions to internal stakeholders and gather feedback for refinement.
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Computer Science, Fine Arts, Human‑Computer Interaction, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience (2–5 years) as a UI/UX Designer, Interaction Designer, or similar role.
- A strong portfolio showcasing UI/UX projects, design thinking, and problem‑solving capabilities.
Skills Required
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
- Strong knowledge of wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing tools.
- Understanding of HTML, CSS, and frontend frameworks (added advantage).
- Experience in responsive and mobile‑first design principles.
- Core UI/UX Skills:
- User research and persona development
- Information architecture and interaction design
- Visual hierarchy, typography, and layout design
- User flow creation, journey mapping, and prototyping
- Knowledge of accessibility standards and UX best practices
