1. Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Diploma or certification in joinery, carpentry, or woodwork (preferred).
2. Technical Skills
- In-depth knowledge of joinery materials (wood, veneers, laminates, MDF, MFC, etc.).
- Expertise in CAD software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar) for creating and reviewing technical drawings.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, machinery, and techniques in joinery production.
- Familiarity with quality control standards for woodwork and joinery.
- Ability to analyze and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and BOQs.
3. Experience Requirements
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in joinery, with at least 3-5 years in a supervisory role.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering large‑scale joinery projects.
- Experience working with high‑end fit‑out or bespoke joinery projects is an advantage.
4. Key Responsibilities
- Manage a team of designers, engineers staff.
- Liaise with clients, architects, and consultants to understand project requirements and resolve technical issues.
- Prepare and review shop drawings, ensuring compliance with project specifications and standards.
- Evaluate and approve material submittals, prototypes, and samples.
5. Supervisory and Soft Skills
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills for client and consultant interactions.
- Problem‑solving skills to address technical and operational challenges.
- Time management and multitasking abilities to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Attention to detail for reviewing technical drawings and ensuring quality control.
6. Certifications (Preferred)
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or similar.
7. Additional Requirements
- Flexibility to visit project sites as needed.
- Strong network within the joinery and interior fit‑out industry (preferred).
