Role Overview

The Sports Programs Manager will be responsible for designing, launching, and managing a variety of sports programs that cater to diverse age groups and skill levels. This role involves hiring and developing qualified coaches, overseeing program operations, and driving the growth and impact of the sports offerings. The ideal candidate is both strategic and hands-on, passionate about sports development, and capable of building sustainable programs that foster participation, excellence, and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Program Development & Management
  • Design, implement, and manage sports programs across multiple disciplines.
  • Develop structured training curriculums and seasonal schedules.
  • Ensure programs meet high standards of quality, safety, and inclusivity.
  • Monitor program performance and adjust offerings to align with participant needs and market trends.
• Coach Recruitment & Development
  • Recruit, interview, and hire qualified coaches and trainers.
  • Provide ongoing training, mentorship, and performance evaluations.
  • Build a positive and professional coaching culture that aligns with organizational values.
• Operations & Growth
  • Oversee daily operations of sports programs to ensure efficiency and excellence.
  • Manage program budgets, resources, and scheduling.
  • Track participation numbers, retention, and customer satisfaction to inform growth strategies.
  • Identify opportunities to expand program reach, partnerships, and revenue streams.
• Stakeholder Engagement
  • Act as the primary liaison between management, coaches, athletes, and parents.
  • Ensure open communication and address concerns proactively.
  • Promote programs through community outreach, marketing initiatives, and events.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Physical Education, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in sports program management, coaching, or related leadership roles.
• Proven ability to recruit, manage, and inspire coaching staff.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal abilities.
