A leading Talent Acquisition Company in Saudi Arabia is currently hiring a Specialist for the Load Dispatch Center (LDC) SCADA to join a dynamic team in the energy sector. This role is crucial for ensuring efficient monitoring and control of power systems, contributing to reliable energy distribution across the region.
As a Specialist in the Load Dispatch Center, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems. Your expertise will be essential in optimizing the operational efficiency and reliability of electrical power supply.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance activities on all LDC system applications software, operating systems, and hardware.
- Perform system administration activities on all LDC systems.
- Utilize real-time data monitoring techniques, data historian management, and data visualization tools to effectively extract, analyze, and present critical system information.
- Monitor and respond to system alarms and events generated from Spectrum Power TG EMS and HIS systems, prioritizing and coordinating with LDC power operations.
- Provide technical support to LDC power operations by troubleshooting, generating reports, and resolving failures in EMS/HIS systems and their subsystems.
- Perform Oracle database administration, analysis, and performance optimization using indexes and dynamic tables.
- Develop Oracle forms and reports, and extract data for operational and developmental needs.
- Perform PL/SQL scripting, monitor database conditions, proactively rebuild indexes, and conduct routine maintenance tasks.
- Manage WebLogic server domains, clusters, deployments, and monitor or tune WebLogic server performance.
Minimum Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience working with SCADA systems in a utility environment.
- Extensive field experience with major utility organizations or SCADA system manufacturers.
- Experience with Energy Management Systems and Historical Information Systems.
- Experience with Spectrum Power TG EMS software applications.
- Proficiency in Linux operating systems and command-line tools, scripting, and automation.
- Professional certifications in Oracle administration, database management, forms and reports, PL/SQL, application server, and WebLogic server.
