Job description

Qiddiya is Saudi Arabia’s future capital of entertainment, sports, and culture — a 360 km² mega-project just outside Riyadh. From F1-grade racetracks and theme parks to stadiums and performance venues, we’re creating a destination like no other. This is more than a project, it’s a national transformation. As construction accelerates, we’re hiring ambitious talent to help shape it. If you’re driven by scale, impact, and the chance to build something iconic from the ground up, Qiddiya is calling for you.

General Summary

The Senior Specialist - Project risk supports the planning, analysis, and monitoring of project risk across the Transport Business Unit (TBU). Working within a complex, fast-paced giga-project environment, the role helps maintain robust risk registers in ARM, contributes to qualitative and quantitative risk assessments, and tracks mitigation effectiveness to enable informed decision-making.

Partnering closely with Project Managers, Engineering, Construction, Commercial, Planning, and external delivery partners, the Senior Analyst turns data into clear insights, prepares risk dashboards and reports, and helps embed a consistent, ISO 31000-aligned risk culture. The role contributes to cost/schedule certainty, compliance with governance standards, and timely project delivery.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Support the development and maintenance of project Risk Management Plans aligned with ISO 31000 and Qiddiya governance.
  • Coordinate risk identification workshops and interviews; consolidate inputs from Engineering, Construction, Commercial, Planning, and Operations.
  • Prepare datasets for qualitative/quantitative analysis; run basic SAFRAN/QRA inputs and compile outputs as directed.
  • Track mitigation actions and residual exposure; follow up with owners and record status changes in ARM.
  • Support the compilation of monthly risk dashboards/reports (top risks, trends, exposure) and circulate to project leadership.
  • Distinguish risks from active issues; align with issue logs and capture lessons learned as advised.
  • Perform periodic quality checks on ARM data (taxonomy, naming, linkages to cost/schedule) and correct discrepancies.
  • Organize risk review meetings (agenda, pre-reads, minutes) and update registers and trackers based on agreed actions.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, Risk Management, or related discipline.

Strong academic credentials; education from a leading university is desirable.

Years of Experience

Minimum 2–4 years of experience in project risk, project controls, or related roles within infrastructure/transport/large capital projects.

Experience supporting risk processes in multi-disciplinary, contractor/consultant environments.

Experience in using ARM and other risk tools (e.g., Primavera Risk Analysis, SAFRAN, @Risk, RiskHive).

PMP or PRINCE2 Practitioner, PMI-RMP, IRM qualifications, ISO 31000 certifications are an additional advantage.
