Senior Electrical Engineer - Asset Integrity

Penspen www.penspen.com is looking for Senior Electrical Engineer, the position is to be based in Khafji, Saudi Arabia.

Responsibilities

Provide electrical engineering oversight and design assurance for all EPC deliverables. Review single-line diagrams (SLDs), load lists, cable schedules, protection and control schemes, and electrical design calculations for compliance with project specifications and applicable standards (IEC, IEEE, NEC).

Ensure the design supports safety, maintainability, and operational requirements. Participate in design and model reviews, and evaluate vendor documents for electrical equipment. Verify the EPC contractor’s design for reliability, grounding, lighting, and power distribution systems. Support pre-commissioning, FATs, and site installation reviews to ensure technical compliance.

Knowledge / Experience (Skills)
  • At least 12 years of experience; 8 years of them within the field of Electrical Engineering for major Oil and Gas / Petrochemical projects.
  • PMC experience at similar role for at least several years is preferable.
  • Knowledge of Saudi Aramco Desktop Standard and procedures / practices is beneficial.
  • Previous exposure to construction and commissioning phases is beneficial but not mandatory.
  • Computer literate with all MS Packages, particularly Word and Excel proficient.
  • Must have Asset Integrity Experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
