Job Description:

AESG is currently recruiting a Senior Cost Manager to join our growing cost management team based in KSA, working on various large-scale building projects, primarily a mall, tower, and hotel projects. The role is based on-site in Khobar, KSA.

As a Senior Cost Manager, you will support project leaders in delivering high standards of service, achieving successful client outcomes, sharing knowledge across projects, fostering innovation, and enhancing our reputation as a preferred service provider.

The ideal candidate is self-motivated, client-facing, with the ability to manage multiple projects and clients or develop towards that. The role will primarily be pre-contract, with opportunities to assist on post-contract projects.

This position offers the chance to work within a leading team of cost management professionals, collaborating with global architects, interior designers, and engineers, advising major clients.

Candidates should have experience in delivering cost management services on major projects, with recent relevant experience, good communication skills, and a technical QS background. MRICS qualification or aspiration is preferred but not mandatory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily cost management activities
  • Support and prepare project cost estimates from concept through design stages
  • Utilize AESG digital tools and contribute to creating new tools
  • Perform advanced cost modeling (Excel)
  • Estimate and perform cost planning (CostX)
  • Advise on value engineering
  • Deliver cost management services independently
  • Ensure timely and accurate work outputs
  • Support team leaders in project cost management
  • Represent AESG professionally, build client relationships
  • Provide complex advice and escalate issues when necessary
  • Maintain effective communication for project success
  • Manage complex projects and resolve issues
  • Mentor junior team members
  • Support division growth and procedure development
  • Assist in proposal preparation and client account management

Essential Skills:

  • Experience in delivering high-quality cost management services
  • Previous experience in a global consultancy preferred
  • Middle East and KSA experience essential
  • Experience with mall, tower, and hotel projects essential
  • Advanced Excel skills for cost modeling
  • Ability to manage multiple projects
  • Professional qualification (RICS or similar)
