  • American Boards, or Canadian FRCPC, or UK GMC / CCT or Western Europe equivalent, or Australian boards, and
  • Valid and current medical license / registration in North America, Western Europe, or Australia / New Zealand, and
  • A minimum of 10 years post-specialty certification experience in the specialty area in a mid- to large-size hospital in North America, Western Europe, or Australia / New Zealand.

The Department of Neurosciences at our client hospital in Jeddah, provides tertiary care to patients with disorders pertaining to the central nervous system. This includes particularly the following :

Neurology

Neurology - This section of the department of Neurosciences provide care to the patients with :

  • Acute or chronic undiagnosed conditions of the central nervous system
  • Coma of unknown etiology
  • Undiagnosed CNS Infections
  • Intractable Epilepsy
  • Acute and chronic Stroke
  • Multiple Sclerosis
  • Movement Disorders
Pediatric Neurology

Pediatric Neurology - This section of the department of Neurosciences provide care to the patients with :

  • Acute and chronic Neurological Disorders
  • Various types of Epilepsy
  • Degenerative & Metabolic Disorders
  • Headache and Migraine
  • Developmental Disorders
  • Musculoskeletal Disorders
  • Cerebral Palsy

Neurosurgery

  • Cerebrovascular Disorders (Subarachmoid Haemorrhage, Ruptured aneurysm (except grade IV and grade V ), AVM, ruptured or unruptured, Carotid Artery Stenosis, CCF (carotid-cavernous fistula))
  • Undiagnosed intracranial space occupying lesions, e.g., tumours, cysts, abscesses, etc.
  • Certain benign primary intracranial tumours (e.g., meningioma, cranipharyngioma, pinealoma, colloid cyst, acoustic schwanoma, etc.)
  • Certain intracranial tumours, complex by virtue of their location (e.g., colloid cysts of the third ventricle, pineal region, brainstem, skull base, etc.)
  • Those cases requiring endoscopy (e.g., third ventriculostomy, septal fenestration, intraventricular tumours, etc)
  • Miscellaneous complications of head injuries (e.g., CSF leaks)
  • Functional neurosurgery (Insertion of medication pumps, Epilepsy surgery, Spinal disorders)
