We are seeking a talented Sales Engineer who combines strong technical understanding with commercial agility to support our growth in the Saudi market.
Position Overview
The Sales Engineer – Valves Division will be responsible for driving sales of industrial valves (Gate, Butterfly, Check/NRV, Air Release Valves, Hydrants, and Special Pipeline Fittings), managing client relationships, responding to RFQs, and preparing technical & commercial proposals aligned with project specifications (NWC, SWCC, WTTCO, RC, FIDIC requirements).
This role requires a proactive individual who understands the technical characteristics of fluid‑handling equipment and can translate customer needs into winning solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Identify, target, and develop new opportunities within water, wastewater, infrastructure, fire‑fighting, and district‑cooling projects.
- Manage and expand relationships with contractors, consultants, EPCs, and end‑user authorities.
- Follow up on RFQs, tenders, proposals, and ongoing opportunities through all stages of the sales cycle.
- Prepare and present technical & commercial offers compliant with project specifications and standards (NWC, SASO, ISO, EN, AWWA, PN16–PN25, etc.).
- Support pre‑qualification and vendor registration activities for major authorities.
Technical Support
- Fully understand Zahar’s valve range, manufacturing capabilities, and OEM partnerships.
- Read and interpret technical specifications, datasheets, ITPs, and compliance requirements.
- Provide customers with technical clarifications regarding valve selection, features, materials, pressure ratings, and installation requirements.
- Participate in FAT, inspections, and coordination with QC/production teams when required.
Client Management & After‑Sales
- Build long‑term working relationships by offering consistent, customer‑focused support.
- Coordinate with production, procurement, and logistics to ensure timely order execution.
- Assist in resolving technical issues, delivery challenges, and customer complaints professionally.
Internal Coordination
- Work closely with engineering, estimation, QC, and factory management to ensure accurate technical and commercial responses.
- Track customer orders, payment follow‑ups, invoicing, and SOA alignment.
- Prepare weekly sales forecasts, reports, and pipeline updates for management.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 2–5 years experience in valves, piping, water infrastructure, fire systems, or related industrial sectors in KSA.
- Strong understanding of:
- Gate, Butterfly, Check, Air Valves, Hydrants
- Ductile Iron materials, coatings, standards (EN 545, EN 593, AWWA, ISO)
- Water authority specifications (NWC, SWCC, WTTCO, RC, NEOM)
- Solid commercial skills with the ability to prepare quotations and negotiate contracts.
- Excellent communication skills in English; Arabic is an advantage.
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ERP systems.
- Valid Saudi driving license and willingness to travel to customer sites.
