BAE Systems is the UK Government’s nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) aircraft and train RSAF and Royal Saudi Naval Force personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons.

To ensure the activities of technical and support staff assigned to the Secondary Calibration Squadron, PSAB, Al Kharj are being performed in accordance with RSAF Instruction 4-7702.
To perform incoming and outgoing inspections to verify adherence to appropriate regulations.
To be educated to a minimum level of Ordinary National Certificate in Physics, Mechanical Engineering (or have significant work experience and demonstrated academic abilities to waiver this educational requirement) and to be approved by the MetCal Wing Commander.
Will have successfully completed a formal training course directed towards the calibration, repair and alignment of Test, Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE).
Have practical experience as a Calibration Technician, Calibration Supervisor, Calibration Instructor or Calibration Quality Assurance Inspector.
Will be fully conversant with the requirements of RSAF Instruction 4-7702, RSAF Metrology Program and RSAF Safety Manuals 78-(series). A working knowledge of RSAF Manual 67- 1, RSAF Supply system would be advantageous.
Should be educated to at least Ordinary National Certificate level or equivalent or have significant work experience to waiver this educational requirement.
Ability to compile, collate and prepare letters and reports.
Familiar with, and be able to use, Microsoft Office software applications and have the aptitude for future upgrade training as necessary.
Must be organised and be able to prioritise their workload.
Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of Company and RSAF staff in a courteous and professional manner.
Have high standards of personal integrity and be capable of sensitive and tactful handling of personnel issues with Company and RSAF staff.
An understanding of the international standard ISO/IEC 17025 \"General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories\" would be advantageous.
Have extensive practical experience in the calibration of TMDE, including diagnostic and rectification work, including time spent at a Primary level.
Have a proof record and/or recommendation from senior employee of high number of quality productions and multitasking.
Have a good understanding and insight in the following areas: Mechanical disciplines of Dimensional Measurements, Optical, Humidity and Temperature.
Have a good knowledge of statistics and the methods of estimating the uncertainty of measurement results.
A good understanding of RSAF MetCal processes and procedures, and a working knowledge of RSAF Supply and Maintenance procedures are necessary to assist in the internal Quality Control of MetCal activities.
