Position Summary:

The Public Realm / Landscape Manager oversees the design review and on-site implementation of all landscape and public realm elements, ensuring integration with the overall project vision. The role manages multiple landscape design and construction packages, monitors quality and progress, and liaises with master planning, infrastructure teams, and authorities to ensure compliance with regulations and sustainability goals. Additionally, the manager provides technical guidance, supports budgeting and permitting, participates in stakeholder and value engineering meetings, and maintains accurate project documentation.

General Description of Role and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the design review and site implementation of all landscape and public realm elements including planting, irrigation, grading, street furniture, hardscaping, and public open space features.
  • Manage and coordinate multiple landscape design and construction packages, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery across the project's phases.
  • Liaise closely with the master planning and infrastructure teams to ensure public realm works are fully integrated within the overall project vision.
  • Review design submissions, technical drawings, and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements, local codes, and sustainability goals.
  • Provide regular technical input and advice to the Design Manager / Project Manager, ensuring best practices in landscape and public realm execution.
  • Monitor construction progress and conduct site inspections, ensuring quality standards and design intent are maintained.
  • Support the preparation and validation of project budgets and cost estimates related to public realm and landscape works.
  • Coordinate permitting activities and interface with local authorities where required.
  • Participate in stakeholder meetings, value engineering reviews, and change management processes.
  • Support the development of landscape-related policies, procedures, and design guidelines that align with the overall community development goals.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate progress reports, issue logs, and related documentation.

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

  • Minimum 12 years of relevant experience in landscape architecture and public realm management, preferably within large-scale residential or community development projects.
  • Strong knowledge of landscape construction methods, materials, irrigation systems, and environmental design principles.
  • Solid understanding of local KSA regulations, zoning codes, and authority approval processes related to landscape/public realm works.
  • The ideal candidate will be proficient in English.
  • Skills in organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling personal workflow.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities across design and construction phases.
