Job description
Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in airport infrastructure projects, particularly in the design, installation, testing, and commissioning of generator and power systems. The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in managing EPC projects, leading multi-disciplinary teams, and ensuring seamless delivery of large-scale airport power solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of airport power infrastructure projects, with emphasis on generator systems (diesel/gas generators, backup power, synchronizing panels, etc.).
  • Oversee engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) activities, ensuring compliance with international standards, aviation authority requirements, and client specifications.
  • Coordinate MV/LV distribution systems, UPS systems, and switchgear integration to ensure reliability and redundancy of airport power networks.
  • Manage design reviews, shop drawing approvals, and technical submittals related to generator works and associated systems.
  • Supervise installation, testing, commissioning, and handover of generators and electrical infrastructure within airport facilities (passenger terminals, runways, air traffic control, cargo, and utility buildings).
  • Ensure effective interface and coordination between multiple disciplines (civil, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and controls).
  • Lead multi-site project teams, contractors, and subcontractors while monitoring progress, cost control, and quality assurance.
  • Implement project management methodologies (PMP standards preferred) and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) requirements.
  • Prepare and present progress reports, risk assessments, and project documentation to clients and stakeholders.
  • Resolve technical challenges, provide engineering solutions, and manage changes/variations within project scope.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical); PMP certification preferred.
  • 10+ years’ experience in EPC/project management, with minimum 5 years in airport infrastructure projects (mandatory).
  • Strong expertise in generator systems (design, installation, load testing, synchronization, fuel systems, and maintenance strategies).
  • Hands-on knowledge of MV/LV systems, distribution networks, and integration with airport critical systems.
  • Proven ability to manage multi-site projects and lead large technical teams.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience liaising with airport authorities, consultants, and international vendors.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Experience
  • Prior involvement in major airport expansion/modernization projects.
  • Experience with redundant power systems to ensure 24/7 airport operational continuity.
  • Familiarity with international aviation standards and local regulatory authority requirements.
