Job Title: Project Manager

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee and lead engineering projects in the oil and gas sector from award to completion. The role involves managing contractors and subcontractors to ensure project delivery meets contract requirements, schedule, budget, and quality standards, while maintaining compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all phases of assigned projects, from planning and mobilisation to execution and handover
• Develop detailed project plans to achieve objectives in terms of scope, quality, cost, and time
• Manage and motivate the project management team to ensure effective implementation of project plans
• Ensure project staff receive appropriate training and remain up to date with technological developments
• Supervise contractors, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure adherence to contractual, technical, safety, quality, and environmental standards
• Identify bottlenecks and recommend corrective actions to ensure timely and cost-effective project completion
• Coordinate with internal departments and external stakeholders, including government authorities and partner agencies, to ensure alignment and smooth project execution
• Review and prepare project cost estimates, schedules, and budgets for management endorsement
• Monitor project progress, budget, and quality, and prepare weekly and monthly reports
• Manage change requests, claims, and variations, and provide recommendations for resolution
• Ensure all project documentation, including handover and close-out reports, is completed accurately and submitted on time

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline
• Certificate in Project Management or PMP preferred
• Minimum 8 years of experience in engineering project implementation in the oil and gas industry, including at least 5 years in a senior management role
• Proven experience managing multi-disciplinary teams and engineering design projects
• Exposure to Front End Engineering and Design (FEED) packages
• Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously
