Overview

The Procurement Officer is responsible for executing procurement activities aligned with the operational and educational needs of the school. This role involves ensuring compliance with procurement policies, supporting timely delivery of goods and services, and maintaining accurate documentation.

Education Requirements

Education requirements: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of procurement policies and procedures in line with Maarif’s internal controls and regulatory requirements.


• Build and maintain effective vendor relationships that align with the specific needs of school operations.


• Conduct market research to identify and evaluate potential vendors in accordance with approved sourcing guidelines.


• Track and follow up on all purchasing documentation, ensuring timely updates and submission of daily status reports.


• Create and process RFQs within the ERP system, ensuring all quotations are sourced from approved and authorized vendors.


• Coordinate with requesting departments or school units to obtain technical confirmation and specification validation of vendor quotations.


• Perform comparative cost analyses to support transparent vendor selection and value-based procurement decisions.


• Coordinate with relevant school departments to confirm the receipt of goods or services in accordance with issued POs and delivery terms.


• Provide timely updates and accurate status reports on Purchase Requisitions and Purchase Orders to the requesting departments and school units.
