Overview

Responsibilities

• Process Design responsibilities including familiarity with computer software for simulation (Aspen HYSYS, Aspen Plus, SIMSCI PRO II, Shell PROGASP).
• Equipment Design using HTRI Exchanger suite, Aspen B-JAC/HTFS.
• Flare design using Aspen FLARENET.
• Drafting with AutoCAD and MS Visio Technical.
• General computer skills: MS Office (excellent in Excel & VBA), MS Windows, Internet Explorer.
• Prepare process design conditions and develop PFD, UFD & PID.
• Design vessels, tray towers, atmospheric tanks, shell & tube heat exchangers, and related equipment.
• Design single and two-phase hydraulic systems including pumps, compressors, control valves and flow elements data sheets.
• Relief system design including relief load calculations, blow-down rate calculations, safety valve sizing and flare header sizing.
• Prepare package equipment specifications and verify vendor drawings/documents.
• Prepare operating manuals.
• Ensure awareness and working experience in compliance with international engineering practices, specifications and codes/standards (Shell, JGC, API, ASME, TEMA, NFPA, etc.).

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in design for petrochemical / refinery / oil & gas projects with a reputed EPC company.
• Knowledge in: Process Simulation, Heat & Material Balance, PFD, UFD & PID development.
• Process design conditions preparation.
• Equipment design experience including vessels, tray towers, atmospheric tanks, shell & tube heat exchangers, etc.
• Experience with single & two-phase hydraulic system design including pumps, compressors, control valves and flow elements data sheets.
• Relief system design, including relief load calculations, blow down rate calculations, safety valve sizing and flare header sizing.
