Job description

JAS is an international, non-asset-based supply chain services and solutions company. Our services include air and ocean freight forwarding, contract logistics, customs brokerage, distribution, inbound logistics, truckload brokerage, and other supply chain management services, including consulting, purchase order coordination, and customized management services.

The purpose of this position is to improve operational accuracy through daily reporting, goal analysis, and reconciliation of documents and discrepancies between customer and company systems, thereby enhancing operational efficiency.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Consolidate documents related to operations and transportation (booking, BL, pre-advices, loading confirmation).
  • Manage import and export bookings according to the booking log sheet and coordinate with the Customer Services team and JAS origin stations; maintain routing guides.
  • Ensure compliance with co-loader policies within group policy, review, and measure co-loader performance.
  • Ensure accurate hub billing and job costing.
  • Monitor cost leadership for cost of sales.
  • Conduct rate analysis.
  • Monitor and secure allocations and operational efficiency.
  • Update and inform supervisors of transportation issues to be resolved for origin offices or customer issues related to capacity planning.
  • Create operational reports.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Working knowledge of standard and accepted runner practices.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar position.
ENVIRONMENT:

This role is performed 100% in a climate-controlled office environment under normal conditions. Travel may be required (up to __%) to support responsibilities. The employee must be able to sit, stand, walk, use hands and fingers, reach, talk, and hear. The role may require kneeling, crouching, and lifting up to 25 pounds. The environment is fast-paced and fluid.
