Responsibilities
- Responsible for the day-to-day management and supervision of the dietetics service provided.
- Plans & implements for nutrition care for patients
- Provides nutrition education for patients and care givers
- Calculates nutrient and caloric intake for patients
- Edits diet patterns and menus for patients
- Checks patient's trays for accuracy
- Work to ensure effective medical nutrition therapy, health promotion, and lifestyle management
- Ensure implementation of a continuous, accurate and effective Nutrition Care Process (NCP) for all patients
Manage food service to ensure food safety and quality as part of continuously monitoring and enhancing patient meal
Skills
- Certified Clinical Dietitian Specialist by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS)
- Ability to relate well to other health professionals, patients, and their relatives.
- Effective communication skills, with ability to impress upon patients and their relatives the importance and benefit in pursuing healthy eating habits.
- Ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural environment.
- Ability to monitor, maintain and supervise the departmental processes and policies
