Job description

Our client, a prominent automotive group with a substantial national footprint, seeks to appoint an exceptional National Head of Pre-Owned Cars to lead and transform its Used Car Sales business across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

This is an appointment with full national responsibility for strategy, performance and profitability within a high volume, complex retail environment. The successful candidate will be entrusted with shaping the commercial direction of the pre-owned operation, ensuring best in class standards across sourcing, pricing, retail execution and financial governance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership for the national used car business, delivering sustained growth in volume, margin and market share across all regions.
  • Direct and optimise nationwide sales operation, ensuring consistent performance and brand alignment.
  • Oversee all aspects of the pre-owned value chain, including vehicle acquisition, appraisal, pricing strategy, stock mix, ageing control and disposal.
  • Establish rigorous financial controls, forecasting and budgeting processes, with full accountability for P&L performance.
  • Collaborate closely with executive leadership, OEM partners and external stakeholders to align pre owned strategy with broader corporate objectives.
  • Implement data driven decision making, leveraging market intelligence, analytics and digital tools to enhance profitability and operational efficiency.
Candidate Profile
  • A minimum of seven years senior leadership experience managing national or multi regional used car sales operations at scale.
  • Demonstrable success in leading businesses with annual car sales volumes exceeding 15,000 units.
  • Comprehensive understanding of used vehicle buying and selling, including sourcing channels, valuation methodologies, retail pricing and remarketing.
  • Exceptional financial acumen with proven experience in P&L ownership, margin optimisation and cost control.
  • A track record of delivering measurable commercial results within complex and fast paced automotive retail sales environments.
  • Experience within the Middle East is advantageous, though not essential, provided there is clear evidence of operating successfully in comparable high growth markets.
