The Microsoft Dynamics Finance Consultant (AX/365) plays a critical role in helping organizations optimize their financial processes through the implementation and customization of Microsoft Dynamics solutions. This position requires a deep understanding of financial principles and the ability to translate business requirements into effective system solutions. The consultant will work closely with clients to assess their needs, design tailored solutions, and ensure successful deployment and user adoption of the software.

ERP Finance Implementation & Support
  • Configure, customize, and support Finance modules within AX/365 (Project Accounting, GL, AP, AR, FA, Budgeting, Cash & Bank).
  • Collaborate with Finance teams to analyze, design, and implement financial processes in line with business needs.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and reporting requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve finance-related system issues.
System Upgrade & Transformation
  • Support ERP upgrades and migrations (AX to Dynamics 365 Finance).
  • Validate and redesign financial processes to align with upgraded ERP versions.
  • Conduct testing, UAT, and training for finance users during upgrades.
Integration & Reporting
  • Work with technical teams to integrate Finance with CRM, HR, Procurement, and external systems.
  • Design and deliver financial reports and dashboards using SSRS, Power BI, or other BI tools.
  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy across all integrated platforms.
Business Engagement & Documentation
  • Gather and document functional requirements from Finance stakeholders.
  • Translate requirements into functional specifications for technical teams.
  • Conduct training sessions and provide end-user support to Finance staff.
Process Optimization & Governance
  • Identify opportunities for process automation and system optimization.
  • Ensure Finance system controls meet audit and compliance standards.
  • Document workflows, processes, and standard operating procedures.
Skills
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business, or Information Systems.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Finance Consultant in Microsoft Dynamics AX or Dynamics 365 Finance.
  • Strong expertise in Finance modules: Project Accounting, GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Budgeting, Cash & Bank Management.
  • Familiarity with financial reporting standards (IFRS, GAAP) and local compliance requirements.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP implementations, upgrades, and migrations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server, SSRS, and Power BI for reporting.
  • Knowledge of Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations is highly preferred.
