Job Summary

Lead the clinical pathology and microbiology department as a consultant, overseeing diagnostic testing, providing expert guidance on complex cases, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, delivering high-quality diagnostic care to patients, and driving research to advance the field of pathology at our hospital.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality microbiology consultant care to patients in this area of medicine.
  • Provide consultative service as requested.
  • Supervise fellows, staff/assistant physicians, and residents.
  • Participate in training and teaching of residents and fellows; participate in research activities.
  • Participate in committees and other administrative functions as needed.
  • Perform special procedures as privileged.
  • Follow all hospital-related policies and procedures.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications

Education

  • Graduate from a medical school of good standing.
  • Completion of required period of training in microbiology.
  • American Board/MRCPCH-Irish, UK, Canadian, Australian & New Zealand/DES/CIS/ Diplome di Medico Specialist Italy / SCR Holland/Swedish Board/German Facharzt/Austrian Facharzt/CCST UK/Saudi Board/Arab Board & sub board/ Fellowship.
  • Membership and/or Fellowship status in America and/or Europe or their equivalent and fulfilling the criteria for the consultant as required.
  • A certificate recognized by the Saudi Commission is a must.
  • DataFlow is a must.

Professional Experience

  • Min. 3-4 years Post Board/Fellowship in microbiology.
  • A registered member of the Saudi Board Council.

Language

  • Proficiency in English; additional proficiency in Arabic may be beneficial.
