Job summary

A building engineering company in Jeddah seeks a Mechanical/Electrical Engineer (MEP Engineer) to support various design aspects of building projects. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and 3–10 years of experience in MEP design, including HVAC systems and technical documentation. Proficiency in AutoCAD MEP and Revit MEP is essential, along with strong drafting skills and good English communication. This position provides a fundamental role in ensuring that systems meet all compliance standards and technical accuracy.

Role Overview

We are seeking a Mechanical/Electrical Engineer (MEP Engineer) to support our building projects’ team by performing design, calculations, drawings, submittals, take off, specs compliance, documentation and technical support for both electrical and mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Electrical (LV): Conduct LV system design and calculations, including power supply to HVAC equipment and fire alarm interfacing — among other related tasks.
  • Mechanical (HVAC, Fire Fighting, Plumbing): Perform system design and engineering calculations in line with ASHRAE and NFPA 20 — and other relevant requirements.
  • Technical Drawings: Prepare, review, and perform minor editing of technical drawings — including Shop Drawings, As-built, Single Line, Riser, and Schematic — while ensuring their technical accuracy.
  • Documentation: Prepare O&M manuals, preventive maintenance schedules, asset registers, and emergency procedures — and similar required records.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support to site and procurement teams, respond to RFIs, and assist in Testing & Commissioning — along with other coordination tasks.
  • Software: Use AutoCAD MEP (required), Revit MEP (preferred), and Dialux for lighting calculations — as needed.
