Job summary

A leading design firm in Saudi Arabia is looking for a Project Management Specialist to join their Design Studios team. Your responsibilities will include scheduling and coordinating projects, assigning tasks to designers, and ensuring effective communication with stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and a minimum of 4 years of experience in a professional services or design environment. Strong project management and graphic design knowledge are essential for success in this role.

Job description

As a Project Management Specialist in the Design Studios team, you will collaborate closely with your colleagues, requesters, and internal departments, supporting the higher-level project managers in managing incoming requests.

Operational tasks will include managing internal and external resources, monitoring deadlines and iterations, organizing printers, setting up Trello boards and Slack channels.

Your role also involves negotiating and monitoring deadlines, carrying out administrative tasks in close coordination with the Operations Manager.

Responsibilities
  • Assess all incoming project requests and appropriately schedule and coordinate incoming projects
  • Assign projects to designers based on skill sets, timing and workload
  • Host creative briefs that capture the business challenge
  • Vet project scope, scale, resource requirements
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with Visual Services Department Managers
  • Assertively negotiate deadlines escalating to Visual Services Department Managers when appropriate
  • Look for and define project, timing, request trends within Visual Services team
  • Communicate effectively and consistently with stakeholders on project development
  • Stay on top of industry trends and forecast, bringing innovative experiences
  • Maintain Visual Services project management tools, pulling data and providing detailed reports
  • Establish workflow consistency and workload balance across Visual Services
  • Participate in client calls and meetings
  • Performing other duties as assigned or required
Required Background
  • Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in graphics design, project management, marketing, or related field preferred
  • 4+ years of experience in a Professional services environment/ Design start-ups/ Design Agencies.
  • Strong project management skills and experience with relevant tools and methodologies
  • Excellent knowledge of print, digital, video, presentations, etc.
  • Deep knowledge of graphic design and design studio workflow processes
  • Advanced workflow management skills
  • Significant creative brief experience
