Eram Talent is seeking a highly experienced and meticulous Mechanical & Welding Inspector to become a vital part of our recruitment solutions team in the Oil & Energy sector. We specialize in connecting skilled professionals with innovative projects across various industries, including Oil & Gas, Infrastructure, and Energy. This role is crucial for ensuring the highest quality and safety standards in mechanical and welding operations.

As a Mechanical & Welding Inspector, you will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections and evaluations of mechanical systems and welding processes to ensure compliance with industry standards and client specifications. Your attention to detail and industry expertise will significantly contribute to the success of our clients' projects and the reputation of Eram Talent.

Responsibilities
  • Reporting directly to the Site Quality Manager.
  • Perform field inspection of all project Mechanical, welding & piping activities.
  • Oversee and coordinate inspection of the Pipeline, on-plot & UG Piping for the project scope.
  • Monitoring and implementation of QMS Procedures, PQP, ITP, method statements and reporting deviations from the management system and contractual requirements of the project.
  • Verifying that all necessary inspections and tests, as required of the project and by statutory regulations, are carried out and appropriate records are updated and maintained.
  • Coordinating quality activities with subcontractors and any other individual parties who may be working on the same site.
  • Coordination with clients and third party inspection, in accordance with approved ITP, for agreed witness inspections & tests.
  • Ensuring close-out of all open issues / punch-points within the time frame agreed with the client.
  • Reviewing and performing material receiving inspection as per company and client requirements utilizing the applicable standards and specifications.
  • Performing assigned in-process and final products inspection and tests as identified in the Approved Inspection and Test Plans.
  • Preparing inspection & test reports of completed inspections & tests.
  • Ensuring all equipment’s, tools and materials meet with the project quality requirements and that personnel have been adequately trained to use them safely.
  • Identification of non-calibrated equipment’s and informing Subcontractor QC for expediting arrangements with Calibration agencies for timely calibration of the equipment’s.
  • Liaison with client representative concerning quality matters on site.
  • To be conversant with the company QHSE procedures & policies and ensure that all the people on the site observe and implement them.
  • Identifying near miss and nonconformities in materials, products, processes, procedures and reporting the near miss / nonconformities in the near miss / nonconformity report.
  • Verification of implementation of corrective & preventive actions against the nonconformities and reporting results to Quality Manager.
  • Preparation and review of final quality dossiers / test packs.
  • Compile and Submit weekly report and requested information / statistics to Department QAQC Manager.
  • Liaison with QAQC Manager for all aspects of quality.
Qualifications
  • Diploma holder or bachelor’s degree – in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Total 12 years of Experience, of which 8 years QC experience with direct scope description as Mechanical & welding inspector/or supervisor for Oil & gas green/brown field project.
  • Knowledge of the ISO-9000 series International Standards, Welding CSWIP 3.
  • Certified.
  • Knowledge in applicable industry standards and specifications like ASME Sec 1, V, VIII and IX, ANSI B31.3/4/8, API 653, 610, 674, 685 etc.
