JOB DESCRIPTION
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute materials management strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Identify supply needs and recommend process improvements to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
- Manage procurement activities for direct and indirect materials, including supplier negotiations and purchase order execution.
- Oversee material receipt, storage, and distribution to ensure accurate tracking and timely availability.
- Maintain and monitor inventory levels, ensuring optimal stock availability and minimal excess.
- Prepare and manage departmental budgets and forecasts in coordination with management.
- Maintain detailed records of all procurement activities, vendor performance, and material usage.
- Utilize the ERP system to process purchasing signals and maintain accurate data integrity.
- Collaborate with the global and local supply chain teams to ensure alignment with corporate sourcing policies and strategies.
- Supervise and develop subordinates, providing training and performance feedback as needed.
- Ensure all procurement and materials activities comply with company HSE and quality standards.
Education/Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Logistics OR Supply Chain Management, OR a related field.
Experience Required:
Minimum of 5-8 years of relevant experience in materials management or procurement, preferably within the oil and gas sector. Proven managerial or supervisory experience on minimum 3 years is preferred.
