ROLE OVERVIEW

We are seeking a Legal Manager to support the Senior Vice President for Legal Affairs. The role involves providing legal support on regulatory, government affairs, foreign investment, litigation, and compliance projects. This includes advising on regulatory issues related to corporate and financial transactions. A basic understanding of the Saudi regulatory framework is required, along with the ability to learn new areas of law, handle multiple complex matters, and work with multi-jurisdictional teams comprising internal and external counsel.

ROLE COMPETENCIES & ACTIVITIES

  • Experience with project management
  • Ability to build relationships with the business to become a trusted advisor
  • Provide advice and support to legal senior management on regulatory, government, and M&A/transaction matters
  • Work effectively with government authorities, regulators, and outside counsel, serving as the primary liaison on regulatory and governmental matters
  • Analyze and communicate external legal advice on regulatory or government queries
  • Conduct legal research on various regulatory issues and government regulations
  • Lead legal and commercial projects, including document review and discussions
  • Advise on regulatory environment, approval processes, competition/antitrust, foreign investment, and disputes
  • Support the Legal Department and business units with regulatory guidance, training, and advice
  • Liaise with stakeholders to address legal issues promptly and effectively

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

  • 7+ years of experience in a similar field
  • 7+ years post-qualification experience
  • Relevant legal expertise with law firm or in-house experience
  • Experience advising on regulatory matters, including government affairs, compliance, and investigations
  • Experience with regulatory notifications, merger filings, government applications, and dealings with KSA authorities
  • Experience advising on commercial agreements and legal documentation
  • Excellent drafting skills
  • Exceptional communication skills in English and Arabic
  • Ability to influence and collaborate effectively
  • Strong analytical and solutions-oriented mindset
  • Self-driven with organizational skills and ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • High emotional intelligence and diplomacy
  • Strong managerial and project management skills
  • GCC or Saudi experience is a plus

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law or relevant field
  • Relevant professional memberships or certifications
  • NY Bar qualification is a plus
  • Fluent in both Arabic and English
