Overview

Brief Role:

Responsible for overseeing all legal and corporate governance matters within the organization. This includes ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, managing legal risks, providing legal advice to senior management, and implementing best practices in corporate governance. The role also involves managing contracts, handling disputes, and liaising with external legal counsel.

Responsibilities
  1. Prepare and submit periodic reports to management and follow up on any related feedback.
  2. Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and relevant external regulations.
  3. Coordinate and maintain effective communication with other departments and external stakeholders as required.
  4. Monitor day-to-day operations and provide guidance to ensure quality and timely execution.
  5. Propose and implement initiatives to improve processes and enhance efficiency within the assigned scope.
  6. Support the development and implementation of departmental plans and projects in line with company objectives.
  7. Provide legal and policy-related support in recommendations and decisions regarding employee termination cases not explicitly covered by company policies.
  8. Maintain proper documentation and records under governance and audit requirements.
  9. Perform any other related tasks assigned by direct management.
  10. Comply with the written policies, standards, rules and regulations of the Company.
  11. Perform all other duties and activities assigned to them by their superiors within the realm of their knowledge provided it is not hazardous or dangerous to their person.
  12. Follow health and safety regulations and procedures intended to prevent accidents or injury in workplaces or public environments.
Job Requirements

Experience: 10 years of experience in legal affairs, with at least 3 years in a managerial role

Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, or related field.
