Qualifications

  • Minimum 5–10 years of experience in instrumentation roles within oil & gas.

Job Overview

The Instrumentation Engineer will be responsible for the installation, calibration, maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting of instrumentation systems used in crude oil metering operations. The role requires strong hands‑on experience with flow measurement systems, custody transfer metering, and compliance with international oil & gas standards to ensure accurate, reliable, and compliant measurement of crude oil volumes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot crude oil metering systems including flow meters, transmitters, analyzers, and control instruments.
  • Perform calibration, verification, and validation of custody transfer meters such as ultrasonic, turbine, Coriolis, and PD meters.
  • Ensure accuracy and reliability of crude oil measurement systems in compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor metering skids, proving systems, flow computers, and associated instrumentation.
  • Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance activities on field instruments and control panels.
  • Support commissioning, start-up, and shutdown activities related to metering systems.
  • Analyze meter performance data and identify deviations or measurement errors.
  • Coordinate with operations, maintenance, and inspection teams to resolve instrumentation issues.
  • Prepare technical reports, calibration records, maintenance logs, and compliance documentation.
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards, company procedures, and Saudi Aramco / client requirements.
Essential Qualifications
