Job summary

A renewable energy project company is seeking a professional to lead maintenance and optimization of instrumentation and control systems for BESS facilities in Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's in Instrumentation/Control or Electrical Engineering, with 5–7 years of relevant experience, strong calibration and diagnostics skills. Qualifications

• 5–7 years of experience in I&C in power plants.
• Experience in Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) preferred.
• Professional level in English (written & spoken).

Responsibilities

• Plan and perform preventive/corrective maintenance on I&C devices.
• Troubleshoot I&C failures; calibrate and align I&C instruments.
• Implement modifications and improvements based on diagrams.

Job description

Location & Project Context

North West Saudi Arabia – Vision 2030 Renewable Energy Project

Purpose: Lead maintenance and optimisation of instrumentation and control systems for BESS facilities to ensure accurate measurement and reliable control.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and perform preventive/corrective maintenance on I&C devices (valves, transmitters, PLCs).
• Troubleshoot I&C failures; calibrate and align instruments.
• Read/control diagrams; implement modifications and improvements.
• Maintain detailed records and ensure CMMS (SAP) accuracy.
• Collaborate with operations during commissioning and testing.
• Enforce HSE procedures and permit-to-work compliance.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation/Control or Electrical Engineering (Diploma acceptable with strong experience).
• 5–7 years’ I&C experience in power plants; BESS exposure preferred.
• Strong calibration, diagnostics and documentation skills.
• Knowledge of PLC/SCADA interfaces and safe work practices.

Additional Information

Permanent relocation to North West Saudi Arabia.
