Job summary
A leading engineering consultancy in Jeddah seeks an experienced professional to lead site staff and ensure work quality according to project specifications. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree and at least 12 years of experience, including 5 years in a similar role. Strong leadership and decision-making skills are essential. Responsibilities include acting as a technical advisor, approving shop drawings, and monitoring contractor performance.
Qualifications
- Minimum 12 years’ experience.
- At least 5 years in a similar position with PMC/Engineer/Employer.
- Experience in PMC Infra project is mandatory.

Responsibilities
- Lead the site staff in the relevant discipline and assure their adequate performance.
- Play the role as the technical advisor to the Engineer/the Employer in the relevant discipline.
- Managing work quality according to project contract, specification, approved shop drawing and QMS Procedures.
- Review and approve the shop drawings, materials and other submittals from the Contractor and other involved parties.
- Review the contractor's implementation and Construction plans and closely monitor its proper implementation.
- Co-ordinate and closely follow-up with the Contractor's technical team to expedite any drawings revision and submission.
- Control closely the Contractor’s Work program submitted by the Contractor and notify the Engineer /the Employer about any slippage or delays with the recommendations for mitigation.
- Monitor and expedite contractor's procurement of material and equipment. Report to the Engineer/ the Employer any delays that may occur.
- Participate in any modification changes that may occur during project period, evaluate its impact on the system, and provide acceptable operational solutions.
- Attending the Weekly meetings between contractor, consultant and the Client and arranging meetings with the contractor at the Site.
- Be proactive in resolving any anticipated problems that may occur on site.
- Monitor and expedite contractor's procurement of material and equipment. Report to Management for any delays and critical items.
- Monitor, supervise and expedite the contractor’s methods of exercising the testing and commissioning procedures and their records.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor Degree in the relevant discipline.
- 12 years’ experience.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar position dealing with PMC/ Engineer / Employer.
- Proven previous experience in PMC Infra project is a MUST.
- Extensive experience in T&C of Infrastructure projects.
- Proactive, good decision making skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and result oriented.
- Organized with excellent time management skills.
