Your Role & Key Responsibilities
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Industrial IoT Platform Lead to architect and drive the development of a scalable, secure, and cloud‑native IoT platform. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), with the flexibility to integrate AWS IoT services. You will lead a team of software developers, define platform architecture, and ensure seamless performance across multi‑cloud environments.
- Architect and lead the design of an IoT platform using GCP, with AWS interoperability
- Manage and mentor software developers, promoting engineering excellence and scalable design
- Define and implement device connectivity, telemetry ingestion, data transformation, and API management
- Build microservices backends using Docker, Kubernetes (GKE/EKS), and event‑driven architectures
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Cloud Build, GitHub Actions, or AWS CodePipeline
- Enforce IoT security best practices including encryption, authentication, and secure communication
- Collaborate with product, data, and network teams to align platform design with business objectives
- Monitor and optimize performance across multi‑cloud environments using GCP Operations Suite and AWS CloudWatch
Your Profile
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field
- 11–14 years of software engineering experience, with 3–5 years in IoT or cloud platform leadership
- Proven experience architecting and developing IoT platforms on GCP and AWS
- Hands‑on expertise with GCP services: IoT Core (or MQTT), Pub/Sub, Dataflow, BigQuery, Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, GKE, Firestore
- Working knowledge of AWS IoT services: IoT Core, Greengrass, Lambda, Kinesis, S3, DynamoDB, API Gateway, EKS
- Strong backend development experience in C# (ASP.NET Core) and Python
- Deep understanding of microservices, containerization, and event‑driven design patterns
- Proficiency in DevOps and infrastructure automation using Terraform, Cloud Build, AWS CloudFormation
- Experience with real‑time data processing, time‑series storage, and data lake integration
- Strong command of IoT security principles including encryption, authentication, and key management
- Ability to analyze complex distributed systems and optimize for performance and cost
Preferred Skills
- Experience with multi‑cloud architecture and hybrid IoT deployments
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure‑as‑code practices
- Familiarity with edge computing and secure device provisioning
- Excellent problem‑solving and debugging skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across cross‑functional teams
