Job summary

A leading EPC company is seeking an experienced HSE Site Engineer in Saudi Arabia. This role involves overseeing site safety and health, supervising construction activities, and ensuring compliance with HSE plans. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years' experience in HSE roles related to 400kV overhead lines or substation projects, with fluency in English and a mandatory driving license for KSA.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in HSE roles within 400kV OHL or substation turnkey installations.
  • Proven record of supporting both design and construction phases of large EPC projects.
  • Strong expertise in HSE management systems, ISO standards, and international safety practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Fluency in English is required; Arabic is an advantage.
  • KSA driving license is mandatory.

Job description

We are currently hiring on behalf of our client, a leading EPC company, for the position of HSE Site Engineer to be based in Saudi Arabia. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HSE professional with a strong background in 400kV overhead lines and/or substation turnkey projects.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Oversee and ensure site safety, health, and environmental aspects, aiming for zero man-hour loss.
  • Supervise construction activities in line with HSE plans and EPC contract requirements.
  • Lead safety inspections, incident/accident/near-miss investigations, and promote shared vigilance across site teams.
  • Drive HSE performance by monitoring KPIs and ensuring EPC/subcontractor compliance.
  • Maintain records of non-conformities, remedial actions, near-misses, lessons learned, and corrective actions.
  • Deliver and support HSE training, maintaining competency and training records.
  • Review contractors’ daily/weekly HSE reports, and supervise inspection, testing, and commissioning for QHSE compliance.
  • Conduct site QHSE meetings, represent the Employer with professionalism, and ensure lessons learned are shared across project teams.

Candidate Profile:
