Role Overview
The Head of Supply Chain will oversee the full supply chain and procurement functions at Nama Arabia Apparels, ensuring seamless coordination across product planning (supply & demand), logistics, warehouse operations, and non-commercial procurement (IT, fixtures, and operational equipment). This role is central to enabling efficiency, cost optimization, and operational excellence to support both wholesale and retail growth strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Supply & Demand Planning
- Lead demand forecasting, inventory planning, and replenishment to meet sales targets across wholesale and retail channels.
- Align with merchandising, buying, and retail teams to ensure product availability at the right time.
- Monitor market trends, seasonal demand, and sales performance to refine forecasting accuracy.
- Manage procurement of non-commercial items including IT equipment, office supplies, store fixtures, fittings, and operational tools.
- Ensure cost-efficient sourcing, vendor negotiations, and supplier relationship management.
- Implement transparent procurement policies and processes that support operational needs and growth plans.
Logistics & Distribution
- Manage inbound and outbound logistics, including customs clearance, transport, and last-mile delivery to stores and wholesale partners.
- Develop and optimize logistics strategies to balance cost, speed, and reliability.
- Build strong partnerships with logistics providers and freight forwarders.
Warehouse Operations
- Oversee warehouse management to ensure accurate inventory control, optimal storage, and efficient order fulfillment.
- Drive process improvements and automation to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
- Enforce safety, compliance, and best practices across all warehouse operations.
- Lead and develop the supply chain team to strengthen capabilities and performance.
- Ensure supply chain objectives align with company strategy and growth ambitions.
- Report regularly to the Managing Director on KPIs, risks, and opportunities.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 10+ years of progressive experience in supply chain and procurement, ideally in apparel, retail, or FMCG industries.
- Strong background in demand planning, logistics, procurement, and warehouse management.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and supply chain tools.
- Proven leadership skills with cross-functional team management experience.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication abilities.
- Strategic mindset with operational hands-on execution.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced retail and wholesale environment.
