JOB SUMMARY

Contribute to the provision of specialized care as an Associate Consultant in gastroenterology at our prestigious hospital. Responsibilities include participating in the diagnosis and management of gastroenterology cases, supporting the implementation of treatment protocols, contributing to research activities, assisting in training junior staff, and collaborating with the gastroenterology team to ensure the highest standards of patient care.

Main duties and responsibilities
  • Provides high-quality gastroenterology care to patients in this area of medicine.
  • Provide consultative service as requested.
  • Supervise fellows, staff/assistant physicians, and residents.
  • Actively participates in the training and teaching of residents and fellows in his area of expertise and participates in research activities.
  • Participates in committees and other administrative functions as needed.
  • Performs special procedures as privileged.
  • Follows all hospital-related policies and procedures.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required qualifications
Education
  • Graduate from a medical school of good standing.
  • Completion of required period of training in gastroenterology.
  • American Board/MRCPCH, Irish, UK, Canadian, Australian & New Zealand/DES/CIS/ Diplome di Medico Specialist Italy / SCR Holland/ Swedish Board/ German Facharzt/ Austrian Facharzt/ CCST UK/ Saudi Board/ Arab Board & sub board/ Fellowship.
  • Membership and/or Fellowship status in America and/or Europe or their equivalent and fulfilling the criteria for the consultant as required.
  • A certificate recognized by the Saudi commission is a must.
  • Dataflow is a must.
Professional Experience
  • Min. 3-4 years Post Board/Fellowship in GIT.
  • A registered member of the Saudi Board Council.
Language
  • Proficiency in English; additional proficiency in Arabic may be beneficial.
References
