Welcome to Your Next Adventure. The Fleet Accountant plays a critical role in maintaining financial accuracy and efficiency for Snoonu's fleet operations. This position bridges Finance and Operations, ensuring transparent, timely, and compliant financial management of all fleet-related expenses, driver settlements, and asset-related costs.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all fleet-related financial transactions.
- Prepare and reconcile driver and fleet settlements on a regular basis, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Process and audit petty cash disbursements for fleet operations, verifying compliance with company policies.
- Record and track driver loans, advances, and deductions, ensuring proper documentation and reconciliation.
- Prepare fleet-related journal entries, monthly reports, and financial summaries for management review.
- Assist in the preparation of month‑end and year‑end closings for fleet accounting activities.
- Review, validate, and reconcile supplier invoices, repair, and maintenance costs to ensure cost efficiency and accuracy.
- Conduct regular audits on fleet expenses, spare parts, and service invoices to detect and correct discrepancies.
- Monitor fuel consumption, vehicle utilization, and maintenance trends to support cost optimization initiatives.
- Act as a liaison between the Finance and Operations departments, ensuring smooth communication on all financial matters.
- Support the Payroll Officer in preparing driver payroll reports, ensuring all allowances, deductions, and incentives are properly captured.
- Coordinate with the Procurement and Inventory teams on Odoo ERP to ensure accurate posting of fleet-related transactions.
- Continuously review existing accounting and operational processes to identify efficiency gaps and recommend improvements.
- Ensure all fleet accounting activities comply with company policies, internal controls, and financial regulations.
- Support internal and external audits by providing documentation, explanations, and reconciliations as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in accounting, preferably within operations, logistics, or fleet management environments.
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Odoo ERP, particularly in Procurement and Inventory Management modules.
- Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with analytical reporting tools.
Soft Skills
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities for cross‑departmental collaboration.
- High attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
