Job description

BecTech is looking for two qualified field engineers with Block 1B2 CIWS experience to groom gun mounts for the Royal Saudi Navy. Specific duties include, but are not limited to assistance to Ship Repair Force (SRF) to groom and maintain the CIWS as follows:

Work will follow the Planned Maintenance System Maintenance Index Page (MIP) 7112/1B2 and the CIWS technical manuals, TW-221-B2-MMO-010 (IETM).

MIP 7112/MRC Q-12. Remove, Clean, Inspect, and Re-Install Ammunition Handling System Components.

MIP 7II2/MRC S-2R. Remove, Disassemble, Clean, Inspect, Lubricate, Re-Assemble, and Re-Install Gun.

Troubleshoot and repair CASREPTS as requested.

Test the CIWS system through all modes to achieve a "GO" status.

Perform CIWS System Technical Assessment. (PMS AP-1). Note all Gun Ammunition Handling System (GAHS) will be performed with dummy ammunition only.

Perform System Operability Tests (SOTS), Periodic System Operability Tests (PSOTS), and Fault Isolation Tests (FITS).

Test transmitter output and ensure a "GO" status.

Tune the Klystron as required.

Clean and lubricate the Gun Ammunition Handling System (GAHS).

Inspect shock isolators.

Inspect condition of door gaskets, seals, and weatherproofing and determine if replacement is necessary.

Inspect the Environmental Control Group (ECG).

Test safety devices.

Perform troubleshooting and repairs necessary to accomplish the tasks above.

This opportunity requires travel to Saudi Arabia a minimum of twice per year for 24 days. Travel, lodging, per diem will be provided. Work will be performed under an FMS case. Candidates must be technically qualified in OEM procedures and requirements. Prior FMS and OEM experience preferred.

  • Shipboard experience to include operations, maintenance, test, system installation, of Block 1B2 CIWS.

Desired Skills:

  • OEM Technical certification
  • Prior experience with FMS support

Position requires travel to Saudi Arabian a minimum of two times per year with a potential to increase to once per quarter over three years.
