Job Description
  • Develop students' knowledge and understanding of English to support their work in all subject areas.
  • Contribute towards medium- and long-term curriculum planning and design, assessment and recording.
  • Provide effective instruction to students at different levels of ability and understanding by the use of appropriately varied teaching methods and recording.
  • Assign and grade class work, homework, tests and assignments.
  • Develop and maintain an attractive and interesting classroom environment.
  • Formally assess students as required and maintain up to date records of individual student and class achievement.
  • Communicate through written or oral reports necessary information regularly to students, colleagues and parents regarding student progress and student needs.
  • Use the schools information and the management system to maintain and update student information.
  • Make referrals in response to individual student needs.
  • Attend conferences with other teachers to address the academic and social needs of the student in his/her care.
  • Attend and actively participate in grade level meetings and scheduled staff meetings
  • Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures
  • Maintain discipline in accordance with the rules and disciplinary systems of the school and the MOE.
  • Supervise students during class, on breaks, recess and dismissal.
  • Attend assemblies and other school events as designated, whether these are before, during or after school hours.
Requirements

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree (on campus) in a core subject.

Minimum of 2 years full time teaching experience.
