Overview

Duties and Responsibilities

• Answer outlet telephone courteously and efficiently as specified in department standards.
• Escort guest to the table and assist in seating and present the menu.
• Ensure that you serve all the guest face towel.
• Ensure the prompt and efficient service required by standards.
• Take order from any food & beverage outlet menus.
• Have a good knowledge of all outlet menus (food and wine) and F&B day to day activities.
• Have good knowledge of all F&B outlets opening hours.
• Recommend and promote items as directed by supervisor.
• Knowledge on menu prices and suggesting upselling when necessary.
• Ascertains guest satisfaction and ensure that all guest billing procedures are handled correctly, minimizing rebates during checkout and bid guest farewell.
• Maintain a high standard of personal appearance, grooming and hygiene.
• Knowledge of all safety, security and emergency procedures related to this position in line with brand and statutory requirements.
• Ensure all equipment of the department is kept clean and in good working condition.
• Attend meetings and training as required.
• Knowledge and strict adherence to LQA standards.

Qualifications

• Hospitality diploma/degree from a recognized hospitality or Barista school and more than one year’s experience in a similar operational role.
• Technical skills include Advanced MS Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Familiar with hotel systems including MICROS/point of sale platforms. Knowledge of hotel/resort policies on discounts/food promotion, etc.
• Fluent in English.
