Job summary

A leading recruitment service in Saudi Arabia is seeking an Electrical Lead Design Engineer to oversee all electrical engineering design activities for EPC oil & gas and petrochemical projects. The successful candidate will lead the design process from conception through to commissioning, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards, particularly those set by Saudi Aramco. The role requires a minimum of 15 years of electrical design experience, including significant leadership experience on major projects. Strong expertise in HV/MV systems and proficiency with design software are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of electrical design experience in oil & gas or petrochemical projects.
• Electrical Lead experience on at least two full-cycle Saudi Aramco projects.
• Experience with major international EPC contractors preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and approve electrical system design including HV/MV/LV power distribution.
• Perform and review power system studies using ETAP or SKM.
• Ensure compliance with Saudi Aramco electrical standards.

Skills

Expertise in HV/MV systems (115/110 kV, 33 kV and below)

Proficient in ETAP

Proficient in SKM

Strong knowledge of SAES electrical standards

Fluent in English

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
