Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Saudi Arabia is seeking an experienced CAD Designer. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in SolidWorks and CAD tools, managing designs and project documentation in a team environment. Job description

Candidates are required to share a sample of projects (pictures either on 3D PDF) via email at [e-mail].

· Accurately develop associative solid models of all products utilizing SolidWorks software and archive documentation pertaining to the projects.

· Create new and/or revise existing designs, drawings, and bills of material (BOM) for our products.

· Create engineering change requests detailing necessary changes to released designs, update drawings/models/BOMs as needed, and route change requests through the approval process.

· Research and interface with vendors on products that meet job design requirements and obtain quotes on specialized components.

· Write technical documents, test procedures, installation procedures, and process documents.

· Interface with employees and managers within the Engineering department, program management, manufacturing, quality, purchasing, external vendors, and customers.

· Work under general supervision and interpret design specifications and drawings properly.

· May provide work leadership to lower-level drafters.

· Execute designs within product specification guidelines for form, fit, function, quality, producibility, cost, and schedule.

· Support routine and trouble resolution events outside regular hours and on weekends.
