Role Overview
The Design Electrical Engineer will be responsible for developing, reviewing, and delivering comprehensive electrical design solutions for consultancy‑based engineering projects. The role involves preparing LV/MV system designs, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, ensuring compliance with international standards, and producing accurate technical documentation that supports project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed electrical system designs (LV/MV) for commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects.
- Prepare and review electrical drawings, schematics, SLDs, load schedules, and equipment layouts.
- Perform electrical calculations including load estimates, short‑circuit calculations, voltage drop, and cable sizing.
- Ensure compliance with relevant electrical codes, international standards, and project‑specific requirements.
- Coordinate with mechanical, civil, and architectural teams to achieve integrated design solutions.
- Prepare material specifications, BOQs, datasheets, and technical submittals.
- Review vendor and contractor documents for technical accuracy and design compliance.
- Conduct design risk assessments and propose mitigation measures.
- Support project managers with design updates, progress reports, and technical clarifications.
- Participate in client meetings, design reviews, and technical discussions as required.
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (B.E / B.Tech).
- Minimum 5 years of proven experience in an engineering design consultancy environment.
- Strong understanding of LV/MV system design principles and project workflows.
- Familiarity with international standards such as IEC, IEEE, NEC, NFPA.

- Expertise in electrical design calculations (load flow, fault level, voltage drop).
- Proficiency in design tools: AutoCAD, ETAP, Dialux/Lighting Software, MS Office.
- Knowledge of protection systems, grounding, lightning protection, and control panels.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, client specifications, and construction details.
