Job Title: Coordinator, Environment

Reporting to: Manager, Safety and Security

Business Unit / Function:

  • Exploration & Resource Development

Job Purpose

Implement strategies, policies, procedures, and programs for Environment, Health, Safety & Security (EHSS) with strong focus on Safety. Manage all related activities to maintain highly efficient EHSS, fire prevention and emergency responses at each ERD site.

Key Accountabilities
  • Develop and implement safety programs and procedures to prevent accidents, incidents, and injuries within Exploration & Resource Development (ERD)
  • Conduct safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify hazards, evaluate risks, and recommend control measures
  • Conduct safety training for employees and contractors, including safety orientation, safety procedures, and emergency response plans
  • Investigate accidents and incidents to determine the root cause and recommend corrective actions to prevent similar incidents from occurring
  • Provide safety advice and guidance to management and employees, including identifying safety hazards and recommending solutions
  • Monitor and evaluate safety performance metrics, identify trends, and develop action plans to improve safety performance
  • Review and update safety policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices
  • Coordinate with regulatory agencies, insurance providers, and other external stakeholders to ensure compliance with safety regulations and requirements
  • Conduct safety meetings and communicate safety performance and initiatives to employees and management
Minimum Qualifications, Experience and Competencies

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health, safety-related degree and/or similar

Minimum Experience:

  • Familiarity with KSA mining, minerals, and exploration sector

Familiarity of best practices in Environment, Health, Safety and Security with strong emphasis on international and domestic (KSA) mining sector

  • Possess high level written communication skills, with demonstrated ability to prepare and review written reports, memos, presentations, and other communications in a clear and logical manner
  • Proficiency in IT operating systems and databases
  • Ability to interact successfully with both internal and external stakeholders at all levels, excellent communication skills
