To lead the Shop drawings, Coordination, material selection & approval process for Civil work from start to finish, ensuring that all designs meet client requirements, are safe, functional, and aesthetically pleasing, overseeing the development of detailed construction plans.

Key Accountability Areas
  • Project Planning and Execution: Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and milestones, ensuring that the civil engineering team remains aligned with the project's goals.
  • Design Development: Creating detailed designs for various civil engineering projects, incorporating principles of structural integrity, environmental sustainability, and safety into designs.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring designs comply with relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Technical Analysis: Performing engineering calculations and analyses to verify the feasibility and performance of designs.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborating with architects and other engineers to integrate various design elements and resolve interdisciplinary conflicts.
  • Quality Assurance: Conducting quality checks and reviews of civil shop drawings to ensure compliance with specifications, standards, and project requirements.
  • Documentation: Maintaining accurate and organized documentation related to civil shop drawings, including design specifications, materials lists, and revision history.
  • Project Coordination: Coordinating with project managers and other engineering teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Construction Support: Provide support during the construction phase by responding to requests for information (RFIs), clarifying design intent, and reviewing submittals and shop drawings.
  • Continuous Improvement: Staying updated on advanced design software, techniques, and best practices to continuously improve skills and workflows.
  • BIM Skills: Good experience with BIM Revit.
Role Accountability
  • Drafting Software Proficiency: Utilize design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Sap, ETAPA to create accurate and efficient design drawings and models.
  • Project Planning and Feasibility: Assess project feasibility considering factors like site conditions, environmental impact, regulatory requirements, and budget constraints.
  • Accuracy and Precision: Ensure accuracy and precision in all technical drawings, adhering to industry standards and specifications to produce reliable drawings.
  • Interpretation of Specifications: Interpret engineering specifications, sketches, and technical documents accurately to translate them into detailed drawings.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and hazards associated with the project and implement mitigation measures.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with engineers and designers to clarify requirements and ensure alignment throughout the design process.
  • Innovation and Optimization: Research and implement new BIM technologies and workflows to improve efficiency.
  • Design and Development: Develop preliminary design concepts for civil infrastructure projects using tools like Navisworks or BIM 360 & Revit.
  • Material Selection: Coordinate with Procurement Department to select materials and follow up for approval.
  • Civil Engineering Design: Utilize engineering principles and software tools to develop detailed design plans; experience in ETABS, SAFE, Proko, Staad Pro.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of engineers, architects, contractors, and other professionals to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure civil engineering designs comply with applicable codes, standards, regulations, and permitting requirements.
  • Design and Technical Support: Review and provide technical guidance on designs, calculations, and plans.
  • Construction Oversight: Ensure that drawings comply with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations to maintain safety and quality in mechanical engineering projects.
  • Team Leadership: Manage or mentor junior engineers and staff, guiding them in technical tasks and supporting their professional growth.
