Job Summary:
The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving business growth, developing strategic partnerships, and expanding the company’s market presence across Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of technical requirements within Civil and/or Electrical Engineering, including infrastructure projects, EPC contracts, and government-sector opportunities. This role requires strong market intelligence, tendering knowledge, and relationship-building skills, especially with key stakeholders and government entities in the Kingdom.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the construction, engineering, and infrastructure sectors.
- Develop and execute strategies to expand the company’s footprint across Saudi Arabia.
- Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, competitor activities, and potential project pipelines.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, EPC contractors, government organizations, and key decision-makers.
- Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, and meetings to enhance brand visibility.
- Lead technical and commercial proposal development for civil and electrical engineering projects.
- Collaborate with engineering, estimating, and project management teams to prepare tender submissions.
- Review project specifications and ensure alignment with client requirements.
- Identify and engage with potential partners, subcontractors, and suppliers for joint ventures or collaboration opportunities.
- Drive partnerships that enhance project capability and competitiveness.
- Lead contract discussions and commercial negotiations with stakeholders.
- Support pricing, costing, and financial modeling to ensure competitive bids.
- Provide accurate sales forecasts, opportunity tracking, and regular management reports.
- Maintain CRM systems and ensure proper documentation of leads, proposals, and client interactions.
Skills
- Strong experience dealing with Saudi clients, government entities, and private-sector developers.
- Proven track record of securing medium-to-large-scale projects in Saudi Arabia.
- Strong technical understanding of civil/electrical engineering projects.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Deep knowledge of Saudi market dynamics and procurement processes.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, project specifications, and engineering documentation.
- Strong networking capabilities and ability to build long‑term client relationships.
- Proficiency in MS Office, CRM tools, and proposal‑writing software.
- Fluent in English (required).
- Arabic proficiency is highly preferred.
