Job description

Job Requirements

• Maintain body shop excellent standards of departmental administration.
• Initiate job documentation and maintain customer records and follow up systems.
• Follow correct procedure when issuing loan cars to customers, ensuring all paperwork is completed correctly and copies of customer and driving licence are obtained when applicable.
• Document all warranty work as per Dealership requirements and retail policy and ensure the customer signs for all work undertaken.
• Accurately maintain departmental systems.
• Document and follow up on all parts ordered for customer daily.
• Ensure all reporting staff carry out the above requirements effectively and efficiently.
• Help Body Shop to achieve industry leading standards of process efficiency.
• Calculate accurate charges for all parts, labour and service repairs and provide customer estimates according to company policy on schedules, time, and pricing.
• Promptly prepare and present invoices following completion of work, ensuring all work has been carried out as detailed and charged for and obtain payment in line with company procedures.
• Review and received payments for work carried out and ensure that the correct company procedures are adopted for verification of payment, handling, transferring and depositing cash for the service department if applicable.
• Ensure compliance to all health and safety / environmental / company policies.
• Undertake other tasks and responsibilities as requested by the front of house body shop Manager subjected to body shop operations.
• Ensure that customer vehicle repairs are carried out within the specified time of repairs and escal iate any perceived hindrance to the repairs being completed on time.
• Review all open orders daily.
• Review all parts ordered for customers daily and escal e to the service management unusual delays in parts arrival.
• Ensure that all customer repair estimates are communicated promptly and approval for repairs are received not later than one week after communication.
• Ensure all reporting staff carry out the above requirements effectively and efficiently.
• Ensure that all accident car repair orders are only received after a substantial deposit is made and an immediate approval is received at reception.
• Ensure body shop provide high repair quality all times.
• Investigate any repeat repair or comeback job and take the correction actions.
